Travel to Europe Christmas markets best deals
Air France have some amazing deals this christmas!

Christmas is a time many of us spend with family. What if you're up for something truly special this Christmas for your loved one or a group? Consider spoiling them with a surprise ticket to one of their favorite destinations or to a place they have never visited before?

Christmas Markets are renowned globally, and visiting one in a different country can be a unique way to experience the festive season. Enjoying local mulled wine and immersing yourself in a new culture makes for an extraordinary Christmas adventure. Increasingly, people are choosing to explore the traditions of other countries during the holiday season. For those seeking grander markets, Europe's major cities offer a wealth of options. Here are a few suggestions for your enjoyment:

Manchester UK

King Street to a European market in Albert Square

Arriving in the city in 1999, the first Christmas market in the UK has grown every year since, now attracting more than nine millions visitors each year. Some 300 beautifully crafted stalls offer mouth-watering international food, drinks and finely crafted Yuletide gifts in the heart of the buzzing city centre.

Hamburg, Germany

Hamburg has long been famous for its food markets - the fish markets have been exported around the world - but the second-largest city in Germany also does a good line in Christmas Markets.

Hamburg's main Weihnachtsmarkt is held in front of the Town Hall with a large Christmas tree marking the location.

Paris, France

This Christmas market has quickly become my favorite - such festive fun! Jokingly 'getting mulled' in Paris was a hoot with fellow tourists; we all enjoyed the camaraderie and sharing our thoughts on the wine. It was the perfect Christmas wine-tasting experience! The market boasts beautiful stalls that illuminate the night and a red carpet leading to the Eiffel Tower. I'd recommend a leisurely Christmas here - there's plenty to see and do, and it's an excellent reason for a return visit.

As for accommodation, there's an abundance of places to savor a Christmas dinner and numerous exquisite hotels. To truly enjoy a Christmas here, I suggest staying local, indulging in your hotel's comforts, and basking in the glow of the illuminations. Joyeux Noël!

Dublin- Ireland

I love Ireland for its traditional style Christmas's that make it feel homely. I love the food and you sure will enjoy a great Christmas dinner here. Visit the Christmas Bazaar in Haymarket, just off Smithfield Square, for one of the biggest indoor markets in Dublin. With over 100 stall holders, food market, live music & DJs and a pop up Christmas cafe!

  • Grand Christmas Market, Montreal Canada

  • Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square Prague, Czech Republic
